2013 Con Son-Kiep Bac festival opens

The Hai Duong provincial People’s Committee on September 21st opened the 2013 Con Son-Kiep Bac Festival and commemorated the 713th anniversary of the death of national hero Tran Hung Dao.

On the first day of this festival, a parade from the Temple of Nam Taoand Bac Dau, a folklore singing and a festival for troops on Luc Dau Rivertook place.

Earlier, on September 20^th, the 571^stcommemoration ceremony for national hero, world’s cultural celebrity Nguyen Trai was held at the Temple of Nguyen Trai.

Other activities, to be held during the four-day festival of Con Son-Kiep Bac, include a boat racing, a rite praying for peace, a festival of flower garlands and coloured lanterns, folklore singing and folk games.
